Where is Donazac?

Donazac is located 20 miles/33 Km Southwest of the medieval walled city of Carcassonne (driving time approx 30 minutes).

The nearest town is Limoux (8km) which has all shopping facilities and an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, with a large market on Fridays. Another excellent market is at Mirepoix (20 miles) every Monday. Well worth a visit.

Chateau de Peyrepertuse

Peyrepertuse, Cathar Castle

Attractions: Carcassonne Cité, Abbeys, Cathar Castles perched on top of mountains, Grottos, museums (including dinosaurs), The Canal du Midi, wonderful outdoor swimming pool and mineral baths at Alet le Bains (12 miles) – all within an hour by car. The Pyrenneés a little over an hour and the Mediterranean slightly further. There are also many wonderful walks – starting from our front door.
