The Kitchen
Wonderfully furnished and equipped this really is a home from home.
Accommodation:
The house has been completely renovated and is now very comfortable with all amenities, CD player, books, etc (no television) including electric radiators throughout. All you need is there – just pack your clothes and go. It sleeps up to 8 people and a cot.
On the Ground Floor is the Entrance Hall – leading to:
Kitchen with large dining table with 10 chairs, complete with dishwasher and woodburning stove – the larder has large fridge/freezer. The cooker is electric and bottled gas. There is a filter coffee machine.
Cloakroom – basin and w/c, also washing machine.
Games Room/Courtyard - We've added a wonderful tiled Garage/Games Room and Courtyard. The whole space opens out to provide sun and shade. The floor of the courtyard has a chess board pattern to play outdoor chess. Also hopscotch and a Table Football table. The Courtyard provides a wonderfully private space to enjoy a meal or read. BBQ available for guest use.
1st Floor – 2 Bedrooms, 1 double (Blue Room), 1 twin/double (Red Room - this can be put together or separately as required). Bathroom with shower over bath, basin and w/c.
2nd Floor – 2 Bedrooms, 1 with 3 single beds (Yellow Room). Bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin and w/c. 1 large bedroom with 4ft bed (we've deemed this a single) and sitting area (Vineyard Room) - windows with spectacular view over the vineyards.
Donazac is an extremely quiet medieval "round" village and local children cycle and play in the village 'Place' which is 50 yards from the house. A Baker calls at the village 6 days a week (preordering required), Butcher and Grocery vans usually call once a week. Donazac is located in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon Wine Region, the largest wine producing area in Europe.
The nearest town is Limoux (8km) which has all shopping facilities and an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, with a large market on Fridays. Another excellent market is at Mirepoix (20 miles) every Monday. Well worth a visit.
Le Vieux Café is a non-smoking house. Beds are all made on arrival and the house is thoroughly cleaned before and after you leave.
